I’m very thankful for a dental practice I can trust and receive excellent care at. Dr. Antley is a wonderful dentist who is very kind and gentle also. (For me that’s very important!) Mallory has been my dental hygienist and does an excellent, thorough job with no discomfort. She is very professional yet personable and easy to talk with or to ask questions. Thank you Carolina Dentistry!
Professional, welcoming, and reassuring. Dr. Antley and assistant Mallory are unrivaled. Front desk folks are great too—friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend. And this is from someone who is dental-phobic!!!
Mallory took great care, she was very sweet. She made me feel like i was with family! i hope i didn’t spell her name wrong lol
My husband used this dentist and they’re easy to make an appointment with, but extremely expensive. We used dental insurance that was out of network with them, but they said that the insurance should still cover most routine care. They did X-rays that the insurance did not cover and they did not tell us the out of pocket cost prior to doing the X-rays. They said he needed too much work so they did not even do a cleaning, and only did the X-rays. They also gave an estimate of care that was nearly $2000, but we went to a different dentist who was also out of network, and it costs us a total of $200 out of pocket for the cleaning and cavity fillings. They need to be more transparent about costs and also communicate better about what will and will not be covered by insurance. We will not return.
Very glad I made the switch to Dr Antley and her all-female staff. The office is modern with a warm twist, ultra clean and inviting. Someone paid attention to the use of lighting to reduce the clinical feel & put the patient at ease - bravo! The service is prompt, friendly and professional. My introduction visit and the one procedure I’ve had thus far have been excellent. I am uninsured and find their prices very reasonable; after all: dental care is an important investment! I look forward to working with my new dental home - highly recommend.
If I could describe Carolina Dentistry in one word it would be: "mer·ce·nar·y- primarily concerned with making money at the expense of ethics." I had an appointment for a cleaning and was quoted over $500 (cash payment, no insurance). I said that was more than I could pay and needed to cancel. I was then told, because I had xrays from a previous dentist, it would be $350. It seemed a bit high for a cleaning, but I figured with inflation, costs have gone up in the last 18 months. 2 hours before my appointment, I received a call stating that the xrays were not complete, and my cleaning would be over $500, so I canceled the appointment. A month later, I got a $75 fee for missing the appointment!!! When I called and spoke to the receptionist, she stated that it was their "policy" to charge for cancellations less than 48 hours. I suppose changing the price on something last minute isn't part of their policy. I'm pretty sure this is not even legal, but what can I do? No matter how unethical it is, I had to pay the fee so it didn't go against my credit. So learn from my experience, and save yourself at least $75. Rethink going here, because clearly all they care about is money.... and if that's the bottom line, what's to say they will be honest? Why not recommend procedures you don't really need if it increases their bank account? They didn't have a problem stealing $75 from me for services I didn't even receive. The most important aspect of any relationship with a medical professional is trust. You are trusting them to be honest and look out for your well-being. If their motivation is solely money, they can't be trusted. My insurance from my job just kicked in this month. And I have so much work that needs to be done... I have TMJ, and I need braces.... when I finally settle on a dentist, they are going to make a lot of money on me.... without needing to rip me off. It's sad really. People used to choose to go into the health care profession because they wanted to help people. Clearly that isn't what Carolina Dentistry is about.
And since I cannot reply to a response, I'll add it here. I did call; I spoke to 2 different people. I gave Carolina Dentistry every opportunity to do the right thing. I was refused. The review stays.
I loved going to this dentist when Dr Jett owned it. Unfortunately, since Dr Antley took over, all of the friendly faces have left. The former receptionist was lovely, and it had a family feel. Now, it is all about making a buck. They won’t clean your teeth unless you get X-rays every time, which isn’t covered by insurance. They also try to upsell things and procedures that aren’t necessary. I will not be returning as it is already not fun to go to the dentist and Carolina Dentistry makes the experience even less enjoyable.
Outstanding experience! I am fortunate to have a Dentist like Dr. Antley with her outstanding team. Ms Mallory was so gentle, patiently explaining the procedure, and entirely competent. (I wish SHE were the House Speaker!) Thank you!
